Lucy Thair

Okay everyone...Here are the sonogram pictures of Lucy. One is of her sucking her thumb, let's hope she stays with that habit when she comes out of the womb. The next one is of her woman parts(I guess, I still can't tell, luckily the radiologist put a nice little arrow and caption in for those of us who need help.) She is moving all of the time now and we have started to see her move from the outside, it's weird but so amazing! I can't wait for everyone to meet her!

Almost Done!

Here is a recent photo of our new kitchen. As you can see a lot of progress has been made since my last photos. Deann is getting very excited because she can see there is an end in sight. Everything is working out just as she had hoped. As with most projects of this magnitude there have been some "bumps" along the way like waiting 3 weeks for the granite counter tops only to find they had measured wrong and had to start all over again! It is a good thing we didn't have to wait another 3 weeks. Our son-in-law, Brad, was a real trooper and spent most of the day yesterday installing the sink, dishwasher and the filter for the ice-maker. The last thing to be finished is the tile back splash and we didn't choose the easiest tile job so it is going to take a little longer to finish.

Both Deann and I have been working very hard and are ready for a vacation, so we will be leaving soon to hike the Zion Narrows and then rest and relaxation at the Fairview cabin. You can see some more photos on my Facebook page.

Our Kitchen & Possible Wall Colors

Here is the current condition of our kitchen and possible wall colors. The cabinets are an antiqued white with cream and gray colored granite countertops. We hope to have cabinets go in this week. I'll keep you posted.

Little Fred Is Not So Little Now

We don't have any new pics right now but he now weighs 21 lbs! When we adopted him he was only 10 lbs, so double now! He is learning every day and now knows how to sit, stay, and is learning to lay down on command. Also our biggest obstacle right now is teaching him "off", but is getting a little better every week.

Blogging on Location

Deann and I spent a beautiful day in Point Loma visiting Jaun Cabrillo's historic landing point in the New World. The amazing thing, at least to me, is that the photo and story were all created and submitted from an iPhone while on location!

Stonewall Peak

It was such a beautiful day on Saturday Deann and I decided to take a hike. This is a photo from the top of Stonewall Peak. Round trip was about 4 miles with an elevation of about 6,000 feet. We were able to make it without a Tibetan Sherpa or the use of oxygen canisters! I can't believe those wimps who climb Mt. Everest need those things. After our descent, Deann had another short hike that was going to be just as spectacular however we got lost and wandered aimlessly about for hours assuring ourselves we had lived a good life and that our family knew that we loved them dearly and would go on and be successful without us. But just when we thought all was lost my survival skills kicked in and I was able to orient myself using a roughly made sundial and find my way back to the car while carrying an exhausted Deann with one hand tied behind my back. We also encounter some severe weather as you can see in the second photo. I don't know why those who are living in Rexburg complain about the snow. Look at how much snow we had to deal with (while in shorts no less)!

Happy Valentine's Day

A quick update on us: It is still really cold in Rexburg but it doesn't seem as bad as last year. Either it really isn't as cold or we are just getting use to it since we have been here forever. Tommy is doing really good in all of his classes and I am still on the search for a new job, which is tuff, hopefully I will find something soon!

Tommy is at a competition this weekend for school and as far as he knows he thinks his group did pretty good. We just found out the my little brother Josh got accepted to school here, so hopefully he will be coming up during the 7 week break and that will be a lot of fun to add one more person to our growing family (TEMPORARILY) located in Rexburg. Its so nice to have some much family up here, we have all been getting together on Sundays for family dinner which has been way fun!
P.S. I posted more pictures on our blog.

I figured it out!

So, I'm pretty proud of myself because I finally figured out how to contribute to the blog. Unfortunately I don't really have anything to say. I hope everyone is having a good week and keep smiling!

BYU-Idaho

Hey everyone. I just want to let you know that I am having a great time up in Idaho. I have made some great friends and I love the change from doing nothing around the house to actually being busy. Everything is great....minus it being cold. As long as I wear 2 shirts a sweatshirt and a jacket I'm good! I'll try and take some more pictures to post, but here one for now.

Christmas Chimes at the Coopers

Everyone did such a great job! :)

Update with Tommy and Brittany

On our way up to Oregon the roads were nice until 50 miles from Portland the roads were really bad and we had to stop and put on chains and it took us 3 hours to go 50 miles. But we made it! We bought snow tires when we were there so we are good to go for the long snow season here in Rexburg.

2 YEARS!!!! We have now been married for 2 years! It has all gone by so fast. We both have loved getting to know our new families and look forward to starting our own someday.
