Stonewall Peak

It was such a beautiful day on Saturday Deann and I decided to take a hike. This is a photo from the top of Stonewall Peak. Round trip was about 4 miles with an elevation of about 6,000 feet. We were able to make it without a Tibetan Sherpa or the use of oxygen canisters! I can't believe those wimps who climb Mt. Everest need those things. After our descent, Deann had another short hike that was going to be just as spectacular however we got lost and wandered aimlessly about for hours assuring ourselves we had lived a good life and that our family knew that we loved them dearly and would go on and be successful without us. But just when we thought all was lost my survival skills kicked in and I was able to orient myself using a roughly made sundial and find my way back to the car while carrying an exhausted Deann with one hand tied behind my back. We also encounter some severe weather as you can see in the second photo. I don't know why those who are living in Rexburg complain about the snow. Look at how much snow we had to deal with (while in shorts no less)!
